Meeting Kai Langer, head designer for BMW’s Vision Neue Klasse vehicles, was a huge honor. We spent the morning together at the Eisbach in Munich, and I left feeling deeply inspired.
Kai is not only incredibly talented—he’s also one of those rare people who exude both creativity and calm under immense pressure. I got a glimpse into the complex design process behind the Vision Neue Klasse and was amazed by the intensity of it all. The layers of thought, engineering, and innovation that go into these future-focused concepts are mind-blowing.
What impressed me most, though, was the unwavering focus on sustainability. Every design decision, every material choice, and every development step is filtered through that lens. It’s not just about making something beautiful or fast—it’s about building a future that is responsible, efficient, and conscious from the inside out.
And as if that wasn’t enough to top off the morning, I was lucky enough to catch a few waves at o2 SURFDOWN MUC, just outside Munich. These Waves are so rippable and I even managed to sneak into a little sweetwater barrel 😀
